Good afternoon, HCHS and E.W. Grove Families,
We're getting close! The excitement is building as we prepare to welcome students back to campus. Below are a few important reminders and updates to help your family prepare for the first day of school.
Early Schedule Release
Students may pick up their schedules during the following times:
Seniors: Friday, July 24 | 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Juniors: Monday, July 27 | 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Sophomores: Monday, July 27 | 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Freshmen (E.W. Grove Freshman Academy): Schedules will be available during Open House on Thursday, July 30.
Schedule Pick-Up Location:
Please enter through the Main Office Entrance for Early Schedule Release and student parking.
Important Reminder
Students WILL NOT be able to receive their class schedule until Online Registration has been completed.
If you are unable to attend your assigned time, you may attend any schedule release session after your assigned time, or you may pick up your student's schedule during Open House.
Student schedules will also be available in ParentVUE closer to the start of school.
Student Parking
Parking permits will be available during Early Schedule Release and Open House.
Students must bring:
A valid driver's license (Learner's Permits will not be accepted.)
Proof of insurance
$10 (cash or check payable to HCHS)
Before You Choose a Parking Space
Online Registration must be completed before students may purchase a parking permit or select a parking space.
Parking permit sales during Early Schedule Release and Open House will also take place through the Main Office Entrance.
Open House Reminder
Thursday, July 30
Grades 10-12: 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Grade 9 (E.W. Grove Freshman Academy): 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM
Parent Meeting for All 9th Grade and New Students: 5:30 PM in the Main Gym
Families may enter through either the Main Entrance or the E.W. Grove Freshman Academy (E1) Entrance across from the Big Red Fieldhouse.
During Open House, families may:
Pick up student schedules (after Online Registration has been completed)
Purchase parking permits (after Online Registration has been completed)
Visit Nursing Services
Receive transportation and bus information
Speak with representatives from Dyersburg State Community College about dual enrollment opportunities and answer questions regarding the dual enrollment program
Online Registration
If you have not yet completed Online Registration, please make this a priority.
Online Registration replaces the traditional beginning-of-the-year paperwork and allows families to update student information, complete required forms, and electronically sign annual acknowledgements. Online Registration and course selection are NOT the same process.
A ParentVUE account is required to complete Online Registration.

Assistance with Online Registration will be available during Early Schedule Release and Open House if needed. However, we strongly encourage families to complete the process before arriving. Completing Online Registration in advance will help avoid lines and allow you to move through schedule pickup and parking much more quickly.
One Final Reminder
Students cannot receive a class schedule or purchase a parking permit until the Online Registration process has been completed.
