HCHS Parents and Stakeholders,

As we near Spring Break, the realization that Graduation is just around the corner becomes more and more real! While underclassmen tested this week, SENIORS have been busy with a senior meeting full of important information, Mock College, hearing from a Graduate Panel, and hearing from several guest speakers in preparation for life after high school.

Below, I am including a quick run-down of the topics covered during the Senior Meeting this week. This information is also on the Senior Google Classroom page for your students to reference.

VOCATIONAL REHAB support for after high school:

Vocational Rehabilitation spoke about financial resources that they might be able to provide (for post-secondary) if you have any type of disability including ADHD, anxiety, or depression. See Mrs. Yearry for an application if you are interested in applying for this support.

LIFELINE GRADUATION CORD:

Lifeline discussed how you can earn a red blood cord to wear at graduation if you donate blood 3 times before graduation night. (Students would have had to give at least one time by now to have enough time. We will have a school blood drive on March 24th.)

GRADUATION ATTIRE:

Please see the handout on graduation attire and read it VERY carefully. We wanted to provide this now in case folks are out shopping over Spring Break. If we can be of help, please let us know.

GRADUATION WALKS:

Graduation walks will be around May 11th or 12th. Watch the Google Classroom for future details and requirements. Required to attend: permission form and Thank You note to deliver to a former teacher (both will be provided closer to time).

CAP & GOWNS:

Students were able to pick up their caps and gowns on Tuesday...Always exciting!...and sometimes a bit bittersweet!

If you did not pick up your cap and gown on Tuesday, please come to the counseling office for those items. If you still owe money to Jostens, you must pay that before your items will be released. We can only accept cash (exact amount; we don't have change) or money orders in the counseling office--no checks or debit/credit cards.

SEVENTH-SEMESTER TRANSCRIPTS:

Seventh semester transcripts will hopefully be ready very soon. If you need one now due to a scholarship deadline or some other deadline, please let Dr. Webb know ASAP.
