HCHS Parents and Stakeholders,
We hope you are doing well! I wanted to touch base this afternoon with some information about upcoming events.
Virtual Learning Plan
In the event we have further inclement weather, we would likely shift to virtual learning days. Your child's teachers have reviewed this information with students, and we would provide additional guidance should we implement virtual learning days. Please see the attachment for further information.
Course Selection
Course Selection began today! Students who are currently juniors received their pink course selection sheets today and had information sessions today during Advisory. Sophomores will have their information sessions and receive their yellow course selection sheets tomorrow. Please talk to your child about their selections for next year and ask questions as you have them. The school counselors have a booth set up during lunches each day this week to answer questions. Next Monday during Parent-Teacher Conferences, there will be places set up for you to ask questions, seek advice, etc. All Course Selection forms are due next Tuesday, March 3rd. Updated Course Selection cards and the Course Catalog can be found on our website.
Parent-Teacher Conferences
We hope to see you at Parent-Teacher Conferences next Monday, March 2nd, from 1-7 pm! Come and go as you need! We will have booths set up for Course Selection help as well as Vocational Rehabilitation representatives. If your child is currently served on an IEP or 504, or has a disability of any kind, Voc Rehab can often provide support to students for their post-secondary endeavors (college, trade schools, funding, resources, technology, etc.).
ACT Boot Camp for Juniors
We have just a few seats left! If your child is interested in taking the ACT Boot Camp on March 10th, they can sign up from the link provided in their Google Classroom (or you can email me and I can add them). The real ACT will be given to all Juniors on March 11th. We're looking forward to seeing and rewarding their scores!
As always, please let us know of any questions or concerns.
Go Big Red!
