MiniQuarter 3 ends today, which means we are 75% of the way finished with the first semester! As we near the holidays, we know the time will move quickly. A few quick notes for this afternoon...
Parent Information Session: Social Media Safety...
This coming Tuesday night, a system-wide program will be hosted in the HCHS Gym for parents with students of all ages. Social Media Safety is a major concern for us all, and we want to help you learn more about how to help protect your child. Please join us! More information can be found on the attached flyer.
Inclement Weather Procedures...
Last week, you should have received information from our Director of Schools, Dr. Watkins, about the Henry County School System inclement weather procedures. With the cold coming in earlier this week, it's always a good time of year to review. In the event of a school closing due to inclement weather, please follow guidance from official school system or school sources. These include the Henry County School System website and Facebook page, the HCHS Facebook page (listed at the bottom of this email), and a callout from the Henry County School System.
Transportation changes...
If your child needs a transportation change, please contact the HCHS Office no later than noon on the day of the needed change. This allows time for approval from the transportation department. Please keep in mind that a bus pass is needed for students riding a bus other than their own. Please also keep in mind that some buses do not have capacity for students to ride on a bus pass.
Underclassmen Fall Pictures...
An online ordering option will be available through the photography company after Thanksgiving for underclassmen pictures. Please be on the lookout for information from the company sometime after the break.
American Education Week...
Next week we will celebrate American Education Week. We hope you'll take time to thank an educator, whether it be at grades 9-12 or another level. We want to thank our Patriot Parents in advance for helping us celebrate our staff!
