HCHS Parents and Stakeholders,
This coming Monday, we will hit the 25% mark of the school year...I feel like I say this every year, but the time is going very quickly! As we enter these last 6 days before Fall Break, there are several things happening that I wanted to update on...
BENCHMARK TESTING:
Tomorrow, MVPA (Mastery View Predictive Assessment) Benchmark Testing will begin for our state End of Course (EOC) tested areas. This year, we will complete this in a different way, so please be aware of the altered schedule below. We appreciate your help in making sure students are here and on time. Please try not to have check-outs on the days your child is testing if at all possible. The schedule will be as follows:
Friday, 10/3: Biology I (most testing to be done during the class period)
Tuesday, 10/7: English I, English II (altered schedule; testing is scheduled during the morning)
Wednesday, 10/8: Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry (altered schedule; testing is scheduled during the morning)

END OF QUARTER 1
Quarter 1 ends this coming Monday, October 6th. Report Cards will go home the Tuesday after Fall Break. With our changes this year, please keep in mind...
Semester-Long Classes...are two quarters and at the mid-term mark, meaning mid-term exam time and 50% of the class completed.
Year-Long Classes...are four quarters and now at the 25% complete mark. Mid-term exams for year-long classes will be scheduled prior to the Christmas break.

FALL BREAK
We're almost there! Fall Break is scheduled for the week of October 13-17.
