HCHS Parents and Stakeholders,

We have had a great first week of the 2025-26 school year! THANK YOU for your patience with our new drop off and pick up procedures, new schedules, and new transitions as we have welcomed our 9th and 10th graders onto campus. We have had a great week and are looking forward to a fantastic school year!

I had just a few notes I wanted to share with you today as we end the first week of school...

New Facebook page to follow!

For several years, we were served under a grant called GEAR Up, which supports college and career readiness. Thankfully, since the ending of the grant, we have been able to continue these services through the work of HCHS Teacher, Mr. John Norwood. Mr. Norwood has had a Facebook page for this, and it's had a recent name change. Please take time to follow the HCHS College/Career Readiness page to get the most up-to-date information on college, career, and military opportunities!

If your child is taking Dual Enrollment Dyersburg State Community College classes this year...

On Tuesday, August 12th, DSCC will be here to host parent/student information meetings. Though not required, these brief meetings will help answer many questions, complete enrollment procedures, and such. The meetings will be held in the Theater, and entrance will be available at the front circle under the awning. Meeting times are as follows...

Juniors and Parents: 5:30-6:00 pm

Seniors and Parents: 6:15-6:45 pm

Attached to this email you will also find two informational documents regarding DSCC. If we can help in any way, please reach out.

Red Swarm (HCHS Student Section)

Red Swarm passes are now available for purchase!  If you have a student who frequently attends home sporting events, this pass will save you/your student money! Red Swarm passes will admit students to ANY and ALL regular season HCHS sporting events, no matter the sport!  The pass is $50 and lasts all 2025-26 school year!  This is a great deal!  Passes can be purchased from Ms. Allison Evans at HCHS.
